At the Benefit Link we work with great insurance companies offering Medicare Supplement plans for Rhode Island residents.
Many offer the most popular plans like Plan F and Plan G. Let us assist with the basics. Rhode Island Medicare Plans include 10 standardized options, lettered A – N. Each insurance company must offer at least Plan A, but companies can offer any of the other plans as well.
Our agency works with some of the best Rhode Island Medicare Plan F and Plan G insurance companies, such as Aetna, Bankers Fidelity, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Mutual of Omaha, and Transamerica.

Rhode Island Medicare plans are offered by several reputable insurance companies. Let The benefit Link help you with comparing rates from all these carriers to help you choose one that is affordable and has high ratings.
Medigap plans in Rhode Island follow the national standardized plan outlines. For people over age 65, there are 10 options available. For people under age 65 who qualify for Medicare due to disability, insurance companies must all offer at least Medigap Plan A for you. Your policy will not have any pre-existing condition exclusions or limitations.
Most people enroll in Medigap during their open enrollment window. This period lasts for 6 months after your Part B effective date, and during this time, you can choose any plan you like. Your application cannot be denied for any health conditions. If you miss this window, you can still apply but insurance companies will then ask for a medical history and can turn you down if they feel your health conditions pose too much risk to them.
All Medigap carriers in Rhode Island must offer Plan C and Plan F. The Medicare supplement Plan F is quite popular around the nation because it covers all of the expenses which normally Medicare would require you to pay. Considering that even the hospital deductible is over $1200, Plan F can provide a lot of peace of mind.
Many insurance companies also offer Plan G and Plan in Rhode Island. Plan N has lower premiums, but you pay doctor copays and your Part B deductible. You also would pay excess charges, but state law in Rhode Island prohibits doctors from charging you excess charges. You would not need to worry about these excess charges unless you seek treatment out of state.
Ask your agent to explain the difference to see if this plan could net you some annual savings. Our team of Medicare experts here at The Benefit Link are standing by and ready to help you. Contact us today to discuss Medicare plans in Rhode Island that might work for you.
