Washington Medigap – Right to Change
People who are already enrolled in a Washington Medigap Plan Letters B – F may change to another Medicare supplement without underwriting at any time. This applies only for existing Washington Medigap policyholders.
People with no Medigap policy must complete an application. The application will include medical questions, unless they have a guaranteed issue right, such as losing their coverage through no fault of their own. The insurance company will underwrite the file and can turn you down for coverage for medical reasons.
Washington Medigap Plan F
Medigap Plan F in Washington is probably the most popularly quoted plan. That’s because a Plan F covers all deductibles, copays and coinsurance that normally you would have to pay after Medicare first paid it’s share. Seeing as those costs can be more than 20% of the total bill in some cases, a Medicare supplement Plan F provides peace of mind.
Many residents have also requested Washington Medigap Plan G quotes from us as well. Plan G is a terrific plan for the smart buyer. While you will have to pay the Medicare deductible, your Plan G premium can sometimes be more than $300 less per year than Plan F. Ask a Benefit Link representative to provide you a Plan G comparison to see if carriers in your area are offering similar savings.
