Let’s talk about a topic that is dear to our heart here at The Benefit Link: You. You all are what keeps us going. At the Benefit Link, we don’t just think about our company as just a business or just a job. We think of it as a type of ministry. We think that ministry and business can be the same.
Our Experience
Diana Scothorn has seen what being connected to the right people can mean. Her sister had juvenile diabetes at the age of 7. Her health condition and consequences changed their family’s lives. By the age of 23, she ended up being diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease and needed dialysis. She ultimately needed a kidney transplant. Because of her diagnosis, she was eligible for Medicare. All of the people that we were connected to, from the doctors, to the nurses, to the insurance agents, helped lift their family up through that time. They experienced how multiple lives can change with just one diagnosis, and how people can help lift a family up. This is what inspired her passion.
Our Passion
There is one major guiding passion that lives inside of us: to make a difference in your life. Just as my family experienced when her sister was ill, every person that you come into contact with can make a difference. When we talk to you, we are constantly looking for ways to lift you up. In fact, every day we wake up and say to ourselves, “Was there anybody that you talked to yesterday that you can lift up in prayer?” We know that life changes can be hard. We view our role as a way to encourage you and lift you up through prayer and service.
Our Ministry
At The Benefit Link, our ministry is to see miracles happen in your life: to see you feeling better, getting connected with the right people, and having peace of mind. We don’t see it as just insurance. We see it as a way to build relationships. When you call us, you’ll get one of us on the phone, not a robot. In fact, we remember conversations we had years back. There was one person who lost their spouse just 2 weeks prior to our conversation, and her birthday was coming up. Throughout our phone call, we were able to lift them up through prayer, encourage them, send a birthday card and a book, and ultimately make her day.
That’s what we do here. We want to be there for you throughout your life changes, whether it be the death of a spouse, the loss of a child, or a new life adventure, like raising grandchildren. If you have questions or need a little level of encouragement, we’re here. Give us a call.
